Denver, CO — January 28, 2019 — Investments & Wealth Institute® and the University of Chicago Booth School of Business announced a new registered education program for advanced financial advisors pursuing CIMA® certification – Chicago Booth CIMA Education Program. This program allows candidates to learn the CIMA curriculum at their own pace, while also providing an opportunity to engage with Chicago Booth faculty through a combination of live-online and video on-demand instruction. In addition, candidates may elect to attend a two-day intensive CIMA® exam preparation workshop which will be offered in-person beginning May 2019.

Led by a team of top Chicago Booth faculty and experienced practitioners who are dedicated to providing thorough and rigorous education for CIMA certification.

The Investments & Wealth Institute has administered the CIMA certification program for 30 years as the premier international, technical portfolio construction program for advisors, planners and consultants. The process for earning the CIMA certification includes a comprehensive background check, three-years minimum experience, completion of a registered executive education program, adherence to a Code of Professional Responsibility, and passing a 140 question, 5 hour examination.
CIMA certification is one of only a handful of designations worldwide that has earned accreditation under an international standard for personnel certification (ANSI/ISO 17024).

The Chicago Booth CIMA Education Program and the two-day CIMA Exam Prep Workshop are available to a wide range of financial professionals from all advisory channels. The workshop will also be available to CIMA candidates who are enrolled in other education programs but interested in additional certification exam prep.
Immediately upon acceptance as a CIMA candidate, financial professionals may enroll in the Chicago Booth CIMA Education Program at a cost of $4,750, which includes tuition for the online course and two-day workshop. The first cohort will be held 19 February through 10 May, 2019.
