RMA is a stackable credential that addresses several important knowledge areas. Learners may elect to complete just the online course and receive a certificate of completion, or advance through the capstone course and the final exam to receive the RMA certification.

RMA Three Level Program

To earn the RMA certification, candidates must successfully complete all three levels of RMA education. Learners may elect to complete just the online course and receive a certificate of completion, or advance through the education capstone course and the final exam to receive the RMA certification. Process to Earn RMA Certification

Advisors may apply for the RMA course or RMA Bundled Pathway to Certification (online course, education capstone, and examination).  Steps include:

1.  RMA Online Course: Candidates complete RMA online course – earn certificate of completion
2.  Education Capstone Course: Candidates complete live RMA Capstone Course
3.  Examination & Certification: Candidates take RMA examination online. Final step is to complete ethics and experience requirements and sign license agreement.

Financial services professionals with three years relevant experience or acceptable designations (CIMA®, CPWA®CFP®, CFA®, ChFC, RICP) who adhere to the Institute’s Code of Professional Responsibility, are eligible to register for the online course or the bundle of all three levels.
