Leading Behavioral Economists and Geopolitical Experts Among Featured Speakers at Investments & Wealth Institute’s 2018 Annual Conference Experience

More than 1,500 financial service professionals will gather to learn the latest on investment and wealth management from more than 40 of the industry’s foremost thought leaders at the Investments & Wealth Institute’s® (formerly IMCA) 2018 Annual Conference Experience (ACE–Nashville), May 6–May 9, at Music City Center in Nashville, Tennessee.
 
General session speakers will feature internationally-known experts, including: 
  • Dan Ariely, Ph.D., the James B. Duke Professor of Psychology and Behavioral Economics at Duke University and New York Times columnist, on the psychology of money for investment and wealth managers
  • Daniel Goleman, Ph.D., internationally known psychologist and science journalist for the New York Times, on using emotional intelligence to better serve clients
  • Pippa Malmgren, Ph.D., former George H. W. Bush economic advisor, economist and trend-spotter, on how public and private innovations impact the global economy
  • Vikram Mansharamani, Ph.D., Harvard University lecturer and global trend-watcher, on how to spot bubbles and navigate economic uncertainty
  • Alexander Wagner, Ph.D., associate professor of finance at Swiss Finance Institute, University of Zurich, on ethical decision-making for investment and wealth managers
General sessions, super sessions and workshops offer ACE attendees a variety of learning options based on tracks that align with their interests, including: investment management, wealth management, advanced business strategies, retirement management, institutional consulting and the art & science of wholesaling. Additionally, a pre-conference workshop will focus on serving high-net-worth clients through advanced ethics and expertise.
 
Topics for ACE sessions are 100 percent peer-reviewed and based on the Institute’s Investments & Wealth Competency Matrix, a foundation for all of the Institute’s educational offerings focusing on five knowledge domains covering 22 knowledge sections. The matrix has recently been updated based on a detailed job analysis of more than 2,000 investments and wealth professionals in Fall 2017.
 
ACE offers a variety of continuing education (CE) opportunities for Certified Investment Management Analyst® (CIMA®), Certified Private Wealth Advisor® (CPWA®), Certified Investment Management ConsultantsSM (CIMCSM) and Retirement Management AdvisorSM certificants can earn up to 24–26 hours of live and online CE credits.
