Denver, CO — November 13, 2018 — Investments & Wealth Institute® (formerly IMCA®) launches a new five week Exceptional AdvisorTM Podcast series featuring Robert Powell of TheStreet. The special edition podcast series provides investment and wealth management professionals the latest information on various retirement topics from industry experts.
“With 10,000 baby boomers retiring daily, the demand for retirement planning has increased dramatically,” said Sean Walters, Chief Executive Officer of the Investments & Wealth Institute. “As a premier education provider, the Institute recognizes the growing need for retirement topics and education.” Walters added, “The Institute provides a number of resources for advisors whose clients are entering a decumulation phase of their lives. We’re covering retirement management in our new podcast series and in the recently published Retirement Management Journal that is available to our members. We are seeing strong interest in our Retirement Management Advisor® (RMA®) designation and our upcoming Retirement Management Forum which will be held this December in Amelia Island, FL.”
The five-week podcast series began yesterday, Monday, November 12, 2018 with an interview with Anna Rappaport, discussing insights from the Society of Actuaries research on retirees over 85. Anna Rappaport is an internationally recognized expert on the impact of change on retirement systems and workforce issues.
People work hard to retire, and retirement has a whole different set of challenges for both clients and advisors,” said Robert Powell. “Retirement clients require advisors with advanced skills and knowledge, this podcast series aims to provide an additional resource for advisors from top industry experts on these topics and challenges.”
The Exceptional Advisor TM Podcast series aims to provide information to help advisors better serve their clients, differentiate themselves from the competition, and improve their ability to communicate the competencies that make them exceptional. The first eight episodes focus on wealth management topics including: Philanthropic Advising for the High-Net-Worth Client, Impact Investing, Serving the Unique Needs of LGBTQ Clients and Estate Planning and Trusts among others.
The Exceptional Advisor Podcast is part of a larger Exceptional Advisor Initiative launched by the Investments & Wealth Institute earlier this summer. The initiative builds on the attributes of an Exceptional Advisor as defined by recent Institute and AbsoluteEngagement.com investor research that shows clients value a strong understanding of what they want and need, meaningful guidance, advanced expertise, and high ethical standards.
