Denver, CO — November 15, 2018 —  Investments & Wealth Institute re-launched the Retirement Management Journal this month. The Retirement Management Journal was previously published by the Retirement Income Industry Association (RIIA), and was acquired by the Investments & Wealth Institute in 2017. The Retirement Management Journal is the newest addition to the Investments & Wealth Institute premier academic publications. This peer-reviewed annual publication is designed to promote research and innovative thinking on retirement management. Each issue is devoted exclusively to the world of retirement-income planning, management, and practical application.

“We are proud to publish the first issue of the Retirement Management Journal under the Investments and Wealth Institute,” said Robert J. Powell, III, editor-in-chief of the Retirement Management Journal. "This issue, in keeping with the Retirement Management Journal's history since it was first published in the spring of 2011, seeks to expand the body of retirement-income knowledge with academic papers that have practical application.”

This edition features articles on retirement security and effective client communication written by leading academics and practitioners including Adam Kobor, Ph.D., Arun Muralidhar, Ph.D., Stephen J. Huxley, Ph.D., and Brent Burns. Retirement topics are increasingly important in the industry.

Through programs like the Retirement Management Advisor certification, and ongoing educational resources like the Retirement Management Journal, the Institute is committed to enhancing the competency and professionalism of advice delivered to retirees,” said Sean Walters, CAE, chief executive officer.

The Retirement Management Journal reviews submissions through a rigorous double-blind process. The new publication features a distinguished editorial advisory board headed by Editor-in-Chief Robert J. Powell III.

Thousands of people reach retirement age daily; these individuals require advisors with advanced skills and knowledge, which the Institute provides.
