CIMA Recertification

CIMA certificants are required biannually to complete a global standard for recertification, which includes three requirements.

The three biannual requirements for CIMA recertification are:

  1. Complete and report a minimum of 40 hours of recognized continuing education,    including two hours of ethics, prior to expiration.
  2. Pay a certification renewal fee.
  3. Complete and confirm continued adherence to the Code of Professional Responsibility, and Rules and Guidelines for Use of the Marks and disclose any regulatory actions or complaints.
There are three methods for Australian CIMA certificants to satisfy the global standard for accepted continuing education:

  1. Programs provided by the CIMA Society of Australia and/or Portfolio Construction Forum.
  2. Programs provided by Investments & Wealth Institute through their online library or live events.
  3. Programs provided by third parties that follow applicable content and verification of attendance.
